John David Leslie MCNAUGHTON

McNAUGHTON, John David Leslie April 20, 1951 - February 25, 2009 David McNaughton was born in Montreal, and grew up in Ottawa. He attended Bishops College School, in Lennoxville, Quebec, Ashbury College and Algonquin College. David's early years in the North were spent in Norman Wells and Inuvik where he met his soul mate, Jeanne, who became the love of his life; they remained inseparable for the next 34 years. He began working for CBC in 1981, and worked his way up through the ranks to Regional Operations Manager in Yellowknife. David's work with CBC became a passion in his life for 27 years. CBC staff was family, the station a second home, and David a champion for CBC Northern Services. A celebration of life will be held in Yellowknife on Thursday, March 5 at 1:30 pm. Those who are unable to attend are invited to share their thoughts with the family via OurMemoriesOfDavid@gmail.com David will be forever missed by Jeanne, daughters Gilly, Chelsea and Norah, grandson Sebastion, his siblings Sandra, Andrew, Bruce and Jinny and extended family.
