OBITUARY MARGARET LELIA CAIRNS (nee DOHAN) February 27, 1924 - February 27, 2009 Peacefully in her sleep at home in Toronto on her eighty-fifth birthday. Eldest daughter of the late Juliette (Timmins) and Dr. John Simon Dohan, sister and sister-in-law of Ann and Kevin Reynolds and the late John Dohan and the late David Dohan. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Arthur Clifton Cairns and dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Shauna and Michael Gundy, Megan and Dr. Christian Sampson, Averil and Joseph Porcaro, Hilary Cairns, Abigail and James Sperry. Cherished grandmother of Sarah, Alexandra, Charlotte, Henry and Samuel Gundy, Emily, Christian and Phoebe Sampson, Nicholas and Olivia Porcaro, Hannah and Caleb Cairns, Nina, Benjamin, Blake and Brooks Sperry. We are so grateful for the loving and devoted care provided by Laura Mills, Audrey Largie, Elizabeth Sadoh, Nana Mohammed, Lucy Williams and Dr. Diana Heath. Marlee will be fondly remembered for her volunteer leadership and loyal friendships in Montreal, Boston, Prouts Neck and Toronto as well as her quiet humour, generosity and grace. A celebration of Marlees life will take place on Thursday March 5, 2 p.m. at GRACE CHURCH ON-THE-HILL (300 Lonsdale Road, Toronto). Memorials are planned for Montreal and Prouts Neck, Maine.
