Thomas George HARTL

HARTL, (Thomas) George George Hartl, beloved husband, father, opa and friend passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at the age of 75. George is survived by his wife of forty-six years Stefanie, daughter Heidi (Neil), son Peter (Rosie) and three wonderful grandchildren. George was born and raised on a mountainside in Austria and immigrated to Canada (Montreal) with Stefanie in 1963. After beginning his career as an elevator mechanic, George, Stefanie, Heidi and Peter moved to Calgary in 1979. After twenty-three years and a related injury, George left the elevator industry and opened a small business specializing in exterior home renovations. His honesty, strong work ethic and love for his family helped him build a successful business and a positive reputation within the community. George loved the outdoors, especially camping and bear watching with his family. To his friends, George was known as a dignified integrity keeper. He was steadfast in his love for bible principles and his real hope of a future life on a paradise earth. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 1:30 p.m., Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 9110 Fairmont Drive S.E., Calgary, AB. Published in the Calgary Herald on 3/6/2009
