MILLER, Paul Francis 1947 - 2009 Paul Francis Miller, beloved husband and father, originally from Pittsburgh, PA, passed away suddenly on March 5, 2009. His loving wife Sheila and his daughter Marisa (aka "Spud") will survive him, the two most important people in his life. He will also be lovingly remembered by his brother Regis Miller and family in Florida, and his sister-in-law Anne in Vancouver. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Paul had three jobs he loved; first working for United Airlines, then Air Canada, then after retirement he began working for Silverstar Express. He touched countless lives, was loved by most, and feared by a deserving few. Paul was, and will remain the strongest and toughest, yet gentle and genuine man, and the best "daddy" a daughter could wish for and the Pittsburgh Steelers have lost their greatest fan! As Paul greatly valued Marisa's completion of her university education, Sheila's employer (the Faculty Association of the University of Calgary) has set up a memorial bursary. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes to the Paul F. Miller Memorial Bursary may be made by Telephone: 403-220-3716 or by cheque made out to the University of Calgary, Paul F. Miller Memorial Bursary, (c/o U of C Central Development Office, 2500 University Drive N.W. or online at netcommunity.ucalgary.ca/PaulFMiller ). People can also go to the Canadian Blood Services and request their donations be made to the "Paul Miller Memorial" (call 1-888-2DONATE to make an appointment), as Paul donated blood every fifty-six days for most of his life. Condolences may be forwarded by visiting www.leydens.com. Arrangements entrusted to LEYDEN'S FUNERAL HOME, Reception and Cremation Centre, 304 - 18 Avenue S.W., Calgary, AB T2S 0C3.
