RUMAS, Richard Joseph House of Commons Peacefully in his sleep, in the evening of Sunday March 8, 2009 at the age of 58. Loving and proud father of Richard Andrew of Oakville, Jennifer Lenora of Calgary, and Allan Alexander of Victoria. Dear brother of Edward Walter of London. Fondly remembered by Linda Dean, Heather Swietek (fiance of Richard Andrew) as well as his numerous colleagues and friends. Richard Joseph will be especially remembered for his 34 years of dedicated service to the Parliament of Canada and for his years of community involvement in baseball, hockey, scouts and his church. Richard celebrated life with great passion for history, politics, gardening, baseball and golf. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa, Saturday, March 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. and Sunday, March 15 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 153 Woodroffe Avenue, Monday at 2 p.m. In memoriam, donations may be made to Harvest House or to a charity of your choice.
