RAUMAN, Raakel Ilona 2009-03-17 Mrs. Raakel Ilona Rauman, age 86 years, formerly of Banning Street, passed away at Pioneer Ridge on Sunday, March 15, 2009. Raakel was born on December 26, 1922 in Koski T.L., Finland, she came to Canada in the mid 1950‘s. As a homemaker, Raakel enjoyed spending time at home, in the garden and with her family. She was predeceased by her husband Uuno Rauman in 2001 and daughter Diana in 1992. Funeral services for the late Mrs. Raakel Rauman will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley St. at Algoma with Pastor Jari Lahtinen of Hilldale Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation for friends will be held one hour prior to service time.
