STAUFFER, Ruby - Peacefully in Niagara Falls on Monday, March 23, 2009. French teacher and department head for many years to students who attended Niagara Collegiate. Passionate about the history and architecture of Niagara on the Lake. Appreciative of nature and it's preservation. She is survived by her long time friend and colleague Kay Forbes, her sisters Blanche and Joyce, her nieces Susan and Peggy, her nephew in law Greg and her dear grand nephews Donald and Angus. According to her wishes, there will be no visitation. A private family service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Ecojustice formerly the Sierra Legal Defence Fund or the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.
