Joyce BONNETT

BONNETT, Joyce 2009-03-25 Joyce Bonnett, age 88 years, died peacefully at home on Monday, March 23, 2009 with her family by her side. She lived with her daughter and family as her health declined. Her graciousness, strength, love of life, smiles and laughter will forever be a source of encouragement to her family and friends. Joyce was married to Bruce Bonnett in 1945 and they celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 1995. Bruce passed away in 1997. Joyce is survived by daughter Lyn and her husband Rod Walter and their children Jennifer Sheehan (here) and husband Jason of Ajax, Jaclyn and Curtis; son Kevin and wife Zoe of Winnipeg (here) and their sons Denny and his wife Shanley of Calgary and Craig of Winnipeg. Joyce is also survived by great-granddaughter Payton Sheehan and great-grandson Ace Bonnett. Also surviving is sister-in-law Mildred Caruso and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Tony and Jeanette Bennett, sisters Audrey Budd and Lois Jorgenson. Joyce was a member of the Fort William Curling Club and enjoyed many great curling games, travels and fun times with great friends. She worked at the Airlane Motor Hotel, which they scheduled around her curling, until her retirement at age 75. Her main source of enjoyment was spending time with her family. Joyce, lovingly known as “Ma Bonnett”, loved and lived life to the fullest and continues to inspire her family to do the same. An informal gathering to meet with the family and celebrate Joyce‘s life will take place on Saturday, March 28th at the Airlane Motor Hotel in the Tiberio Room between 1 and 3PM.
