Sheila Joyce HINES

CORKERY (Hines), Sheila Joyce - March 12, 1943 - March 16, 2009 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Sheila Joyce Corkery (Hines), age 66, who passed away on Monday, March 16, 2009, at her home in Dartmouth. She was the daughter of the late John Hines and Evelyn Hines (McDow). She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Lawrence Corkery; only son, Darryl and his wife, Kim Corkery (Brownell), Halifax. Sheila lived her life in Dartmouth where she had a successful career with the Provincial and Federal Government and most currently was employed with Convergys. Sheila's love for her family, friends and community fulfilled her life and gave her many years of happiness. Volunteering was a significant part of Sheila's life. South Woodside Elementary School, Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, Canadian Cancer Society, Red Cross Society and many political campaigns benefited from her dedicated efforts. Funeral service will be Friday, March 20, at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Woodside, Dartmouth. Reception immediately following in the church hall. Cremation has taken place.
