Margaret Mary WHYSOCKA

Mrs. Margaret Mary Whysocka September 2, 1924 - March 20, 2009 - WHYSOCKA, Margaret Mary 84, Halifax, passed away peacefully Friday, March 20, 2009, at her home. Born and married in England, she moved to Canada in 1963 where she raised her family. Margaret was respected by her colleagues and appreciated by her patients for her compassionate care during her 30 year nursing career. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Jerzy Wysocki. She is survived by her sons, Marek, Ottawa, Ont.; Antoni, Halifax and daughter, Janina (Paul) Lake, and their children, Kerry, David, John, Sarah and Peter, Dartmouth. She is also survived by several relatives in England. Family visitation only. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 25, at 10 a.m. in Canadian Martyrs Roman Catholic Parish, 5900 Inglis St., Halifax, Father James Mallon will officiate, reception to follow, with interment at a later date. Thanks to Father James Mallon for spiritual care. Thanks to Dr. Lorne Marsh, the palliative care team, the VON and the Red Cross workers for their compassion and care over the past few months.
