Mr. Don Prebushewski October 31, 1944 - March 20, 2009 - Don Prebushewski October 31, 1944 – March 20, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Don on March 20, 2009 at the age of 64 after a courageous battle with cancer with his family at his side. Don was born October 31, 1944 and lived in Prud’homme until his family moved to Saskatoon in 1962. He met Susan Strohan and they were married in 1964. After numerous managerial positions with Pfizer and Fleming Pedlar he fulfilled his dream by opening his own company, Blazer Store Fixtures. Don and Susan ran this company for eleven years until their retirement in 2004. They were then able to indulge in their passion of traveling fulltime. With their motor home they traveled to many southern destinations. He loved the outdoors especially fishing and golfing. He and Susan loved to attend polka fests with their many friends. He loved to socialize and was known to roam the R.V. Resorts making new friends. He was a charming man with a beautiful smile and touched everyone with his kind personality and humour. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be sorely missed by his wife of 44 years, Susan; his daughter, Debbie and her children, Blaze and Nicholas; his son, Terry (Eleanor) and their sons, Austin and Tyler; his mother, Jane; and sister, Evelyn; niece, Donna (Steve) and their children and a nephew, Kevin. He was predeceased by his father, John and grandparents. The family would like to thank the 5th Floor Surgery and Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul’s Hospital for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in Don’s Memory be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Prayers for Don will be held at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North on Monday, March 23, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 10th Street and Munroe Avenue on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Catholic Cemetery.
