H. W. VERVEDA

VERVEDA, H.W. (Bill) Thy word is lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. (Psalm 119:105) On March 15, 2009 Bill Verveda of Edmonton, went to be with his Lord. He is survived by his wife, Jane of forty-eight years; his six children: Jannette (Don) Nauta of Calgary, AB, Clarence (Trish) of Alix, AB, Bea (Pete) Vlieg of Leduc, AB, Winny (Dave) Bolink of Victoria, BC, William (Angela) of Waterdown, ON; Kevin (Val) of Edmonton, AB; twenty-five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers and one sister. Bill was born in Almen, Netherlands on April 13, 1937. He loved taking pictures of God's creation when he was traveling, hiking, camping, sailing, or skiing. He loved his time spent with family and friends. He devoted much of his time to church, Christian Schools and many Christian ministries. Friends wishing to pay their respects may do so at the HOWARD & McBRIDE - Chapel of Chimes from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2009. A Private Family Interment will take place. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Community Church, 14204 - 25 Street. His family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
