Patrick Henry WILSON

WILSON, Patrick Henry 2009-03-31 Mr. Patrick Henry Wilson passed away peacefully at Roseview Manor on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at the age of 90 years. Pat was born and educated in Port Arthur. He enlisted in the Lake Superior Scottish Regiment on June 25, 1940. He served in Canada, Britain, Central Mediterranean and Northwest Europe. He retired from active duty with an Honourable Discharge on January 25, 1946. He received the following medals: 1939-1945 Italy Star, France and Germany Star, Defense Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal 1938-1945. After leaving the armed forces Pat worked at the CNR until his retirement at age 65. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas Arthur Wilson and Gertrude May Wilson, his first wife Agnes, his second wife Elsie, brothers Donald and Ernest, sisters Helen, Margaret, Estelle and Irene (Betty). He is survived by his brother Bob (Elizabeth) and extended family. Thank you to the staff of Primrose House at Roseview for their commitment to his care. A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street, with Archdeacon Mark S. Conliffe officiating. The members of Branch #5 of the Royal Canadian Legion will conduct their services of tribute in conjunction with the funeral service.
