WOODS, Ellen Elvira 2009-04-02 It is with great sadness that the family of Ellen Elvira Woods announces her unexpected passing at her residence on March 30, 2009. Ellen was born in Germany and shortly after moved to Canada with her parents in the early 50‘s. She was raised in Caramat, Ontario until her mid teens at which time she ventured out on her own. Her journey took her to reside in many parts of Ontario and Manitoba to eventually return to Thunder Bay to be close to her family and friends. She was a neatnic with a strong sense of responsibility. These traits contributed to her becoming very proficient and being in great demand for maintaining the cleanliness of private homes, resorts, churches and the sanitation of health facilities. Ellen enjoyed home life, long leisurely walks, gardening and traveling. Above all, she took great pleasure in being with her grandchildren. Ellen will be lovingly remembered by her dad Edward Seifert (companion Veronika Fedor); daughter Christine Campbell (Dean); grandchildren Amber and Cora; step-grandchild Kanisha; brother Willie (Valerie) Seifert, nephew and niece Willie and Shyra (Toby), grandniece & grandnephew Brooklyn and Hunter; sister Angela (Ray) Loponen, nieces Charlene (Aaron) and Sheryl (Joee); sister Marion(Jack) Hill; nephew and nieces Tracy (Greg), Jody (Cody) Darryl (Kayla); and extended family Diana Hennel and her daughter Erin; extended family in Thunder Bay and Europe; her best friend and confidant Elaine Bosvik Ciarnau. Ellen was predeceased by her beloved mom Alice Seifert; brother Ronald Seifert; and her first husband Donald Campbell. Following cremation, Funeral Services for the late Ellen Woods will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3rd, 2009, in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street, officiated by Rev. Ed Long. Interment will take place at a later date. Should friends so desire, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. On-Line-Condolences may be offered at www.harbourviewfuneral.ca
