Inger Gudrun CHRISTENSEN

NIELSEN (CHRISTENSEN), Inger Gudrun Inger passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday, March 29, 2009, in Guelph, Ontario, at the age of 83 years. She was predeceased by her husband, H. Andreas Nielsen, in 1990, her grandson, David Jordan Thunberg, in 1982, her sister, Signe, and her brothers, Edvard, Niels and Karl. Inger will be greatly missed by her loving children, Jorgen (John) Nielsen (Jean) of North Gower and their children Brian (Christina) and Steven (Ann); Helge Nielsen of Sault Ste. Marie and his children, Erik and Lindsey Norton (Corey); Aase Christensen (Jens) of Guelph and her daughter, Allison Bryndza (Mark Barker); Ulla Thunberg (Randy) of Regina and their children, Kyle and Paul; and Maryann Nielsen-Kahwati (George) of Shanghai, China, and their children, Christopher and Adam. Dear great-grandma to Callum Barker and Logan Nielsen. Dear sister of Anna, Ellen, Arne and Tage, all of Denmark. Inger's fingers were never idle. She acquired her quilting skills with the Manotick Sewing Circle and later quilted with The Merivale Quilters. She will be fondly remembered for her baking, her many quilts as well as her needlework and crafts. A Memorial Service will be held at the Merivale United Church, 1876 Merivale Road, Nepean, Ontario on Monday, April 6, 2009, at 11:00 AM. Cremation with Interment at Pinecrest Cemetery, Ottawa. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
