GLAHS, Richard After a strong battle with cancer on April 11, 2009, in hospital, Shawville, Quebec, with his loving wife, Elfrieda (nee Michalek) by his side, at the age of 86 years. Beloved father to Eric (Patricia), Arnprior, ON, and Carl (Linda), of Peterborough, ON. Sadly missed by his brother Werner (Margaret), of Germany. Fondly remembered by his 4 grandchildren, Jennifer (Victor), Laura (Geoff), Erin (Lee) & Ryan, as well as his 5 young great-granddaughters, Allison, Cate, Sarah, Ashley & Julia. Sadly missed by relatives in Germany and by his many wonderful friends and neighbours in the Pontiac region. There will be no visitation held. Funeral service will be held in St. John's Lutheran Church, Ladysmith, Quebec on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. Donations in memory of Richard to the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.
