McCANN (nee Tracy), Lynn - Peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Friday April 24th, 2009 at the age of 53. Beloved wife of Steve McCann for 31 loving years. Loving mother of Craig , Jillian and Curtis. Lynn has been predeceased by her parents Gerry & May Tracy, sister Christine Labrasceur (Mark) and Father-in law Basil McCann. Survived by her sisters Marie Prudom (Rich) and Elaine Hayter (John) and brother Gerry Tracy Jr. (Cindy) and step mother Nonie Tracy. Daughter-in-law to Donna McCann and sister-in law to Colleen (Greg) Martin, Mike (Leanne) McCann, Joanne (Tony) Moscone and Laurie (Jen) McCann. She was always interested in the well being of her 16 nieces and 3 nephews. Lynn was born in Kilwinning, Scotland and with her family, immigrated to Canada in 1967. She was an intelligent, caring lady who was extremely proud of her children. She fought through numerous health issues through her short life however never complained, maintained a positive disposition, always found a reason to laugh and enjoyed life for every moment. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Steven Welch, LHSC Cancer clinic staff, 7th Floor “C” nursing staff for their tender and excellent patient care. A special thanks to long time care giver Dr. D. Ludwin Nephrology Department St. Joe's Hamilton who provided Lynn special care achieving 14 successful years of kidney transplantation. Special thanks to Cailynn Jackson, Mitch Fryling and Vanessa Courtney for their support and help around the house during this time. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, Ontario, on Sunday April 26th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday April 27th at 1:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home, Sarnia. Donations can be made to the Sarnia Chapter of The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
