Golebiowska, Stanislawa Barbara 2009-04-21 Mrs. Stanislawa Barbara Golebiowska, age 82 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, on Sunday, April 19, 2009. Stanislawa was born in Poland and came to Canada in 1979 where she started working as a seamstress. Later, she opened her own shop which provided services for the Polish community in Thunder Bay and ran it until her last days. Stanislawa is survived by her son Andrew (Barbara) of Nepean, Ontario, daughter Ligia Huarte (Tomas) of Spain, 5 grandchildren: Micaela, Monica, Ramona, Kinga and Arthur. She was predeceased by her husband Franciszek in 1994. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2009, when family and friends will gather for the Funeral Mass in St. Casimir’s Church at 11:00 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Andrew Deptula. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Vigil Prayers being offered at 7:00 p.m. in the Blake Funeral Chapel. A tree will be planted in memory of Stanislawa Golebiowska in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 27, 2010.
