Thelma Pearl Waldriff The funeral service for the late Thelma Waldriff was officiated by Mr. Richard Paul at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Tuesday, November 2, 2004. Personal tributes were delivered by several family members including granddaughters Carole Bedard, Kyla Johnson, Sandra Beaudry and nephew Gord Thompson. Casket bearers were Sandra Beaudry, Garnet Hughes, Murray Byers Jr., Harvey Hughes, Dustin Hughes, Bart Wagner, Cassondra Gale-Krieger and Gordon Thompson. Interment took place at Nipissing Cemetery. Following the graveside service, the Waldriff family received relatives and friends at Nipissing North Community Centre for a luncheon and time of fellowship. Thelma Waldriff died peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, October 30, 2004 at Nipissing Manor, Corbeil. She was in her 88th year. Thelma (Ibbitson) was the beloved wife of the late James (Jim) Isaac Waldriff (1916-1980), and mother of Barb Byers (Murray), Allan Waldriff, Stella Hughes all of Callander and Margaret Hughes (Mike) of Jocko Point. She was the loving grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Thelma was the dear sister of Ada Leroy of Callander, Enid Beeton of Russell, Donna Hughes of Powassan and predeceased by her sister Theda Leroy.
