SPARKES, Herman Arthur (Sparky) - Died peacefully following a courageous battle with emphysema at the Milton District Hospital on Saturday, November 6th, 2004, with his family by his side, in his 76th year. Loving husband of Irene for 53 years. Loved father of Karen (Jim), Brenda (David). Always remembered by his grandchildren Adam (Raeleen), Devon, Robyn and husband Matt, Matthew (Juli). Brother of Bud (deceased), Millie and Joan of North Bay. Sparky also leaves many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Sparky will be missed by his long time friends from Campbellford and area and his new friends in Milton. Sparky worked for Ontario Hydro for 38 years and was well respected by his peers and co-workers. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at the McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home, 114 Main Street, Milton 905-878-4452 on Thursday, November 11th, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. Following the reception for family and friends, the interment will take place at Burlington Memorial Gardens. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated. As Sparky finds his place among the stars and angels in the heavenly sky - may our hearts know that he is free at last from his pain and suffering.
