GALLANT, John Edgar - 60, passed away peacefully June 13, 2004, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was a son of Stella Gallant, Arichat, and the late Leo Gallant. He is survived by his wife, Donna (Landry) Gallant; daughters, Maureen (Shaun) Sampson, Petit de Grat; Amanda, Lower Sackville; Coralie, at home. He is also survived by his granddaughter "his little Buttercup", Daija Sampson; brothers, Arthur (Doreen) Gallant, Martinique; Brian (Cindy) Gallant, Navare, Fla.; sisters, Agnes (Leo) Gaudet, Tignish, P.E.I.; Carol (Jacques) Boudreau, Lower Sackville; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Leo Jr. and David. Funeral arrangements are under the care of IML Funeral Home, Petit de Grat, with visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today, and from 1 p.m. until time of funeral mass at 4 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Parish Church, Petit de Grat.
