It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jeanne Lussier Trapnell on April 23, 2006. Jeanne passed away peacefully at home, at age ninety, surrounded by those who loved her. She was the beloved wife of the late James Trapnell, the loving mother of Patricia and dearest grandmother of Julian. She was the much cherished sister of Alice, Marcel, Henri, Albert (deceased), and Edouard (deceased) Lussier. She will be sadly missed be her many friends, by her sister-in-law Therese Lussier, by her godson Jacques Lussier and by her many nieces and nephews. Jeanne was a dedicated teacher in LaSalle and she will be remembered fondly by the many students she taught. Heartfelt thanks to the Oncology and Palliative Care units of the MUHC, to the VON and to the CLSC LaSalle for their devoted and compassionate care. The family will receive condolences at the Alfred Dallaire funeral home at 7200 Newman Blvd., in LaSalle, on April 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on April 27 at 10 a.m. at Eglise Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur, 7675 Edouard St. in LaSalle, followed by interment at the Mount Royal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the VON would be most appreciated. We will always keep in our hearts the memory of an exceptional woman who loved her family unconditionally and who cherished every day of her long and happy life. She will rest in peace, knowing that she will always be remembered and loved. Published in the Montreal Gazette on 4/25/2006
