MOSTON Belle (nee Hudson) August 12, 1919 - March 28, 2006 Belle Moston (Heaven) passed away peacefully at the age of 86 years, on March 28, 2006. Her husband, Tom, was at her side. Born in Calgary on August 12, 1919, Belle grew up on a farm near Kathryn, Alberta. She is survived by her loving husband of forty-nine years, Tom, and eight sons and daughters-in-law, John (Leota), Hugh (Karen), Dave (Bev), Malcolm (Holly), Joe, Ed (Jane), Don (Christine), Eldon (Tammy), and one "adopted" son, John Atkins. Belle was extremely proud of her fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to brag about them to anyone who would listen. Belle is also survived by her sister, Margaret, of Brandon, Manitoba, and her brother, Tom, of Summerland, BC. Belle was an avid member of the Indus Ladies Club for many, many years and was a founding member of the Indus Live Wires Seniors' Club. She really enjoyed participating in the many trips, potluck dinners and card parties with the club members. Belle loved gardening, needlepoint, knitting, and sewing. Many friends will remember Belle from the years she drove school bus in the Shepard/Indus area; her years of volunteering with the Cubs and Boy Scouts Groups; and her involvement in the community. Belle was predeceased by her parents, William and Jane Hudson, her brother Hugh Hudson, and her first husband, Bill Heaven. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Rockyview Hospital for their care and support while Mom was there. We would also like to thank the staff at the McKenzie Towne Care Centre where, despite her short stay, she received excellent, caring attention. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME on Monday, April 3, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with Interment to follow at the Mountain View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lung Association (P.O. Box 4500, Station "S", Edmonton, AB, T6E 6K2). Arrangements entrusted to MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME and CEMETERY, 17 Avenue S.E. at Garden Road, (1.5 km east of 84 Street S.E.). Telephone: 403-272-5555.
