PETERSEN Eric Nickels It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eric Nickels Petersen on March 31, 2006. He is survived by his loving soulmate Sue Perrier; parents, George and Henny Petersen; brothers, Holger (Anne Green) and Rainer (Lorraine); and nephew Matthew Hawkeye (Georgina Cheeseman); and many friends. Born on May 1, 1958, Eric grew up in the Bonnie Doon area in Edmonton. During his years with the Department of Highways, he traveled extensively across Alberta before settling in Calgary. Downhill skiing, one of Eric's passions, led to years of volunteer work with handicapped skiers. A Memorial Service will be held in Edmonton at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 8424 - 95 Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Northern Alberta Brain Injury Society, No. 229, 10106 - 111 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5G 0B4.
