Cora L. OLSON

YOUNGBERG Cora L. (nee Olson) 1918 - 2006 Let the angels of heaven guide her gently to the house of the Lord Cora L. Youngberg (nee Olson) passed away early Wednesday evening at her home in Calgary, Alberta. Cora was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, loved and embraced life and all of those in her life. Cora spent many years working as a cook in the oilfields and joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in World War II. An amazingly multi-talented woman, Cora married Douglas W. Youngberg, had ten children, returned to school, then joined the staff at the Calgary General Hospital. Cora, an active member of the Eastern Star, was Worthy Matron numerous times. She was predeceased by her son Harold and her husband Douglas W. Youngberg. She will be sadly missed by her brother Wilmer (Anastasia) Olson, her sister Elaine (Jim) Anderson, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Gladys Schiewe - Teresa (Brad), Nicole, Kaylee Edwards; Brian (Dorothy) Youngberg - Patti, Axel, Anna Youngberg; Gay Youngberg; Roy (Renie) Youngberg - Tonya (Jaiden), Xavier Lairson, Tarita (Mike) Carduff; Brendan Youngberg; Brenda (Keith) Irish - Dan Irish; Tim Irish; Laurie (Ben) - Keaton, Sydney Comfort; June Patmore - Rob (Terri) Youngberg; Doug Patmore; Ruth Couldwell - Christine (Jonathan) VanWinkle; Amanda Couldwell; Dolores (Jerry) Jaeger - Steven Jaeger; Corinna (Jason), Ashley, Travis Knutson; Shannon, Justin Jaeger; Bradley Jaeger; Mel (Shelley) Youngberg; Alf - Darren Youngberg as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at FIRST MEMORIAL FUNERAL SERVICES (240 - 17 Avenue S.W., Calgary) on Sunday, April 9, 2006 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Foothills Alliance Church (333 Edgepark Boulevard N.W., Calgary) on Monday, April 10, 2006 at 1:00 p.m., with Reverend Myron Siemens officiating.
