HERR George February 2, 1917 - April 15, 2006 All good things must come to an end. It is with deep sadness that we now have to say goodbye to the best Dad, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, and friend that anyone could wish for. George was predeceased by his wife Ann in 1986. He is survived by his loving family, son Randy (Mary), daughter Denise (Darwin) Lapp, and all their families; along with his loving sister Thora. A true Calgarian, born and raised. George was a veteran, having served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in World War II. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ogden Branch No. 154. His bright blue eyes, smiling face, and charming ways will always be a pleasure to recall. He had a kindly word for each, and passed away beloved to us all. While we were sad to let him go, he had coped with Parkinson's disease and the last few years had been difficult. In spite of the challenges, he never complained and his gentle loving nature persisted. The family extends heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful and caring staff at Eau Claire, Colonel Belcher, Dr. David Gill, and Tracy. At George's request, no formal Service will be held.
