WIERSEMA George It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of George Wiersema on Friday, March 3, 2006 in his home at Willmar, Saskatchewan, at the age of 76 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Theresa (Kelvin) of Willmar, SK; sons, Stanley (Rita) of Barons, AB and Nelwyn of Lethbridge, AB; daughter Valerie of Elkpoint, AB; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brother Al (Dorothy) of Stirling, AB; sister Jennie of Calgary, AB. He is predeceased by his Dutch parents Jan and Harmke, brother Henry and son Timothy. George loved to spend time with family and friends and enjoyed old time dancing and woodworking. He was a quiet and gentle man who will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at MARTIN BROS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, with Pastor Glenda Wert officiating. Interment will follow in the Monarch Cemetery. Cremation has taken place as per George's wishes.
