SMALLWOOD Simon John 1956 - 2006 Simon Smallwood passed away at the Rosedale Hospice on Monday, July 3, 2006 after a long and valiant struggle with cancer. Simon was born on March 7, 1956 in Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset, England. He immigrated to Canada as a young boy in 1967, settling in Calgary. Simon had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel especially by motorcycle. He took many great bike trips throughout western North America. Simon loved camping, hiking, the ocean, animals, was a great chef and a pinpoint historian. He had a great and wicked sense of humour and his smile was the sun. Simon will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Marisa and son Adam. He will also be missed by his dad and stepmom, Barry and Joyce Smallwood; sister Jane and her partner Ken; nephew Andrew; nieces, Samantha, Tasha and Elena; in-laws, Frances, Peter, Diane and Nina; Joyce's children, Kevin, Susan, Katherine and families. He was predeceased by his mother Della in 1994. A Private Gathering will be held today, July 6, 2006. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com .
