Myrtle DEER

GAGNE, Myrtle (nee Deer). 1930 - 2006. Passed away peacefully after a valiant two-year battle against cancer, at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Montreal on Saturday, September 2, 2006, at the age of seventy-six. Predeceased by her husband Lucien, survived by her children Patricia (Marc) and Peter (Elizabeth), and grandchildren Cedric, Genevieve, Adrien, Nathan and Christopher. The youngest and last of 14 children, Myrtle is survived by brothers- and sisters-in-law, Johnny, Gaby, Louisa, Margaret and Norma. She will be greatly missed by many loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, no less by many coworkers from the Montreal General Hospital, friends and members of Holy Cross Church and Choir. Resting at Poissant & Deer Funeral Home, Kahnawake, on Thursday, September 7, 2006 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and at Urgel Bourgie Funeral Home, 5775 Laurendeau, Ville Emard, on Friday, September 8, 2006 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at Holy Cross Church, 1960 Jolicoeur, Montreal, at 10 a.m., on Saturday, September 9, 2006, following a brief visitation at the funeral home. Interment of urn in the Saint-Sauveur Cemetery at a later date. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Mount Sinai Hospital or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
