Nora Bernice VANCLIEAF

Nora Bernice Burdick (nee VanClieaf) 1925 - 2004 Burdick - It is with deepest sadness that the family of Nora Burdick announces her passing on Thursday, November 25, 2004 at Extendicare of Kirkland Lake at the age of 79. Born and raised in Ramore, Ontario, Nora and her family relocated and became residents of Swastika in 1959 until she made her last home Extendicare. Mrs. Burdick was a former postmistress of Swastika Post Office for many years. Nora is predeceased by her husband Joseph Burdick (1986); sisters and brothers-in-law Vera (Hjalmar Farstead), Grace (Fred Farstead), Luella (Alec Belonaha) and 1 brother and sister-in-law Willard (Florence) Van Clieaf. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Brian (Carolyn) of Barrie and Norman (Paula) of Wavell; her cherished grandchildren Andrew (Sandi) of Kirkland Lake, Steven of Calgary, Corey (Heather) of Barrie, Blair of Barrie, Justin of Winnipeg, Vicki of Barrie and Joey of Hamilton; great grandchildren Evan, Vaughn, Ryan and Aryka and Luke. Nora will be sadly missed by her brother Wilbert (Lois) of Wavell and her sister Gwenna (Leslie Vandusen) of North Bay. The family will welcome friends at the Monette & French Funeral Home on Monday, November 29, 2004 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service in the "Teck-Hughes Chapel" with Pastor Karen Allard officiating. Donations in Nora's memory may be made to the Extendicare of Kirkland Lake. Nora will be laid to rest at the Kirkland Lake Cemetery in the family plot.
