Connell DOHERTY

DOHERTY, Connell. Born December 25, 1958, died December 3, 2004 at Lion's Gate Hospital, Vancouver, B.C., after a short but fierce battle with cancer. His twin brother Patrick and sweetheart Eadie O'Donnell, were by his side. Beloved father of Samantha (age sixteen), and son of Alice (nee Leblanc) and the late Peter Doherty, twin brother of Patrick, and brother of Debbie (Wayne Spurdens), Patricia, Annie (Rob Bernardski), Eileen (Simpkins) and predeceased by a sister Roseleen, in infancy. Dear uncle to Cathryn and Jessica (Spurdens), Christina, Tanis, Harlan and wife Allie (Simpkins), and Colleen (Glenn Martin). Con was blessed with many faithful Montreal and Vancouver friends. His enjoyment of sports was exceeded only by his Irish heart's devotion to family, his love of friends, and his delight in a good time. He will be missed and mourned by all who loved him. Following cremation, a celebration of his life will be held in Vancouver, on Thursday, December 9, 2004, at The Royal Canadian Legion, 123 West 15th Street, North Vancouver, V7M 1R7.
