RIEL, Rene - Passed away on Friday, April 24th, 2009 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Georgette. Cherished father of Lise (William), Denis (Annette) and Richard (Ginette). Rene is predeceased by his son Normand (Rashida). Special grandfather of Andre, Celine, Alena and Renee. Brother of Gilbert, Yvette, Therese, Alida and Jeanine. Predeceased by his brothers Eugene, Fernand and Jean-Guy and his sister Fernande. Rene will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family members and friends at the C.A.W. retirement village. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Saturday, May 2nd from 11a.m. - 1:30 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday at 1:30p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
