HOWSON, Howard Christopher David - Died peacefully in his 85th year on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Loving husband of Hazel for 64 years. Dear father of Ron and his wife Jeanette, Keith and his wife Vikki, Marilyn Foster and her husband Dan, Terry and his wife Kareen, Bruce and his wife Colleen, Judy Barker and her husband Dave, Grant and his wife Margaret. Loving brother to Arthur Howson and his wife Agnes, Mildred McFarlane and her husband Roy, Dorothy Jordison and her husband Harry and the late Fred (survived by his wife Mable), Don (survived by his wife Edna) and Wilbert Howson. Grandfather of Melissa Howson, Katie Howson, Karlie O'Dette and her husband Mike, Kelly Stillman and her husband Jason, Stephen Foster, his fiancée Mandy and son Salvadore, Richard and Lee Howson, Becky, Rachel and Cassie Howson and her partner Mike Gilmour, Janette Drinkwalter and her husband Greg, Ashley, Laura and Tyler Barker, Brandon, Miranda, Nathan, Curtis and Hayley Howson. Great-grandfather of Douglas Gilmour and Tiernan Drinkwalter. Friends will be received at the COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street on Thursday, May 21, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Mark St. United Church, 90 Hunter Street East on Friday, May 22nd at 1:00 p.m., Reverend Bev Sumbler officiating. Interment to follow at Rosemount Memorial Gardens. In memory of Howard, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Mark St. United Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family.
