PARKS, Virginia - At North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site, Monday, May 4, 2009. Virginia Parks (nee Blackmore), loving companion of John Dorschner, in her 54th year. Dearly loved mother of Kurt Parks (Krysta) and stepson Damian Dorschner. Lovingly remembered by two grandchildren Karson and Kassidey Parks. Loved daughter of Rita Blackmore and the late Frank Blackmore. Dear sister of Michael (Joady), Val Caven (Bill), Marlaine Bywater (Blair), Marita Valyear (Max), Louise Cantin (Gerry), Maureen Blackmore (Stephen) and Vicky Pardy (Randy). Virginia will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. She played ladies slo- pitch and was a former member of the Royal Cdn. Legion Br.23. Family receiving friends at the McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, today 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
