John Arnold TATTERSALL

TATTERSALL, John Arnold 1911 - 2008 Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 into the presence of his Lord whom he loved. John was born on a farm in Chamberlain, SK and spent part of his childhood in Regina, SK. He married Annabelle in 1936 and they farmed in Marengo from 1936 to 1945. In 1946, John and Annabelle followed God's calling to Colombia, South America where they served for many years. They returned to Canada and established a Church for the Spanish speaking people whom they loved and were devoted to. John and Annabelle led this Church for thirty years. When John retired, he crafted and sold wood furniture, etc. and sent all the proceeds to children's missions in Nepal and Central America. John leaves behind four children of whom he was extremely proud, Daisy Smith (Paul), Frances Linkletter, Gerald (Linda), Grace Howe (Hubert); as well as his eleven beloved grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his daughters-in-law, Ivy Budd and Ann Tattersall; son-in-law Raye Linkletter. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Annabelle Hilda of sixty-seven years; his son Norman; his parents Arnold and Lois Tattersall; and his sister Ellen Harvey (Win). Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 29 at 11:00 a.m. in the Centre Street Church Chapel (Main Campus), 3900 - 2 Street N.E., Calgary, access via the West entrance.
