Sedgewick Martin MALONEY

MALONEY, Sedgewick “Mark“ Martin - Peacefully passed away at the Vale Inco Hospice, following a courageous fight with cancer, Sunday May 31, 2009 at the age of 62 years. Cherished son of Elma Maloney of Barbados and of the late George Maloney. Beloved husband of Ruth Maloney (née Lynch) of Copper Cliff. Loving father of Ralph Maloney of Sudbury, Jessica Maloney (Jaime Beecroft) of Toronto and Laura Anne Maloney (Paul Ricard) of Copper Cliff. Predeceased by his son Alphonso. Sadly missed by his brothers Aubrey (Joyce), Irvin and his sister Undine Mascoll all of Barbados. Lovingly remembered by Ralph Waldron, Kenneth as well as many other friends and relatives. Mark was a professional printer in Barbados and came to Canada in 1971. His spice for life and attitude made him a genuine, brilliant, intelligent and unique person. He will be remembered as being easy going and having a great sense of humor. Family and friends are going to miss Mark's infectious laugh and his bright smile. The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Hart at St-Joseph's Hospital in Toronto, Dr. Cano, Sue Benoit, Dr. Knight, nurses and staff at the Cancer Centre, Oncology, Vale Inco Hospice, the crew at CAT Toromont, Lively and everyone who was involved with him through this difficult journey. He will be sadly missed, forever loved and never forgotten. The family will receive relatives and friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Saturday, June 20, 2009 after 6 p.m. A funeral will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury.
