Owen Jennings Amundsen March 21, 1921 - December 15, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Leyden's Funeral Home (Claresholm) Amundsen – Owen Jennings, aged 83 years of Claresholm, AB passed away December 15, 2004. He is the beloved husband of Ruby, loving father and father-in-law of Douglas and Joan, Ponoka, AB; Barbara and Willard Boese, Redvers, Saskatchewan; and Ellen and Lauren Case, Roblin, Manitoba. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Greg and Lindsay Amundsen, Brian and Terry Boese, David, Daryl and Danny Case; as well as five sisters and one brother. Owen was predeceased by his parents Adolph and Julia Amundsen and a brother Roy Amundsen. Born and educated at Claresholm, Owen attended the University of Alberta. He worked in Toronto, Ontario and Peterborough, Ontario, returning to Claresholm in 1952 to take over the family farm, retiring in 1991. He was a life member of the Claresholm Curling Club, and sang with the Claresholm Senior Singers and the Claresholm Community Singers. Services will be held at the Claresholm United Church, 4803 – 2 Street West on Monday, December 20, 2004 at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Paul Rumbolt officiating.
