GAGNON, Walter Thomas - The family announces with sorrow his death at Aroland First Nation on June 15, 2009 at the age of 87. Beloved father of: Joseph Gagnon of Thunder Bay, Marcel Gagnon (Clara) of Aroland, Linda Kashkeesh (Henry) of Aroland, John Gagnon (Carol) of Thunder Bay, Hilda Gagnon (Larry) of Aroland, Jackie Gagnon (Noel) of Thunder Bay, Jeffrey Gagnon (Stella) of Aroland, Lindsey Gagnon (Terrylynn) of Aroland, Bernard Gagnon (Myrna) of Aroland and Christopher Gagnon (Sharon) of Aroland. He is survived by his sisters: Mary Magiskan (Isaac) of Thunder Bay, Cecilia Therriault of Aroland and Effie Magiskan of Aroland. He will be sadly missed by 43 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Pre-deceased by his wife: Mary Gagnon; his sons: Donald Gagnon, Walter Gagnon Jr. and Billy Gagnon; and his daughter: Lena Bell. Friends will be received at his home in Aroland as of 8:00pm Thursday, June 18, 2009 and all day Friday, June 19, 2009. The funeral ceremony will be held at the Johnny Therriault School Gym on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 2:00pm with Roger Pronovost, Priest, officiating.
