BARRETT , Ronald John April 26, 1952 - June 20, 2009 Ron Barrett was successful in defeating cancer. He won the courageous battle when he passed away in the loving arms of his wife of thirty-three years, Peggy, with daughters Erin (Dan) and Brooke by his side. He is also survived by his sister Donna (Alan); brother Gary (Kim) and man's best friend Morgan. Ron was a true Calgarian who was born at the Calgary General Hospital and graduated from Forest Lawn High. An avid gardener and natural athlete, Ron excelled at all sports but his true loves were his daughters. He was so very proud of all their accomplishments and heart broken that he was unable to attend Brooke's last convocation. He will be greatly missed by all family and friends whose lives were touched by "Uncle Rummy". A Celebration of Ron's Life will be held in the Chapel of MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME on Friday, June 26, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. To email expressions of sympathy: mountainview@arbormemorial.com Subject heading: Ronald Barrett.
