Léopold Fortier "Oscar" - Biscuiterie Oscar 1927-2009 Paisiblement, aux soins palliatifs de l'hôpital Mont Sinaï, le 5 juillet 2009, à l'âge de 82 ans, nous a quittés Monsieur Léopold Fortier "Oscar", époux de feu Denise Fortier (Larose). Copropriétaire de la Confiserie Oscar du quartier Saint-Henri, il a servi avec fidélité ses clients durant plus de cinquante ans, recevant confidences et offrant réconfort à ceux qui l'ont côtoyé. C'était un homme simple et généreux qui mordait dans la vie. Son courage, sa volonté et sa détermination ont marqué sa vie jusqu'à la fin. Pour ses enfants, Ginette (Michel Rhéaume), Michel (Sylvie Tessier), Diane (Marcel Hébert) et Jean (Dominique Carier) et son fils de coeur Michel Lavoie, ses petits-enfants Pascale, Yanick, Sébastien, Stéphanie, Marie-Eve, Ioan et Tristan, ses arrière-petits-enfants Olivier, Marylou, Maxime et Elliott, il a été un père, grand-père et arrière-grand-père remarquable et présent. Pour tous ceux qu'il a aimés, pour ses frères et soeurs, Pauline, feu Gaston, feu Muriel, feu Claude, sa tendre amie Georgette Bouchard et ses enfants et petits-enfants et tous ses amis, il demeurera dans nos coeurs comme un être vrai et transparent. Nous désirons exprimer toute notre gratitude au Docteur Pierre Poitras, Gastro-entérologue, pour sa grande disponibilité et sa merveilleuse empathie qui a permis à notre père de jouir pleinement et sereinement des derniers jours de sa vie. Co-owner of Confiserie Oscar in Montreal Saint-Henri borough, he faithfully served his clients for over fifty years, trusted and confided in, and offering personal comfort to whomever crossed his path. He was a simple and generous man who lived his life with gusto. His courage, his will and determination were his trademarks to the very end. For his children, Ginette (Michel Rheaume), Michel (Sylvie Tessier), Diane (Marcel Hebert) and Jean (Dominique Carier) and his son from the heart Michel Lavoie; his grandchildren Pascale, Yanick, Sebastien, Stephanie, Marie-Eve, Ioan and Tristan; his great-grandchildren Olivier, Marylou, Maxime and Elliott. He was a remarkable father, grandfather and great-grandfather and always there for everyone. For all his beloved brothers and sisters, Pauline, the late Gaston, the late Muriel, the late Claude, his cherished companion Georgette Bouchard, her children and grandchildren and all those he considered friends, he will always remain in their hearts as a true and transparent soul.
