KULA, Ludwik "Lu" Passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2009 at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of fifty-seven. Beloved husband of Maria (nee Bernady) Kula for 19 years. Loving father of Natalie of Kitchener and step-father of Slawomir (Jasmine) of Kitchener. Dear son of Tadeusz and Zofia Kula of Montreal and son-in-law of the late Stanislaw and Zofia Bernady (nee Kanitor). Dear brother to Maria Bielicki, Halina Swinburne (Brian), Stanley Kula (Mary) and Casey Kula of Montreal. Lu will be missed by his nieces and nephews Margaret, Alice, Stephanie, Laura, Matthew, Christopher and Michael. Lu's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Parish Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Prayers will be offered in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 9:20 a.m. followed by a procession to Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 65 Shanley St., Kitchener for a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Williamsburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brain Cancer Research Montreal Neurological Institute (c/o Dr. Kevin Petrecca) would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
