Hilda Gertrude FRASER

FRASER , Hilda Gertrude June 23, 1916 - August 13, 2009 Hilda Fraser passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on August 13, 2009. At the age of 93, Hilda had lived a very full life, amazing everyone with her sharp wit and determination that enabled her to remain in her house to the very end. Hilda's greatest joys were to be a wife, mother, and grandmother. In earlier years she opened her heart and home as a foster parent to numerous children. She cherished her many friends and the good times they shared playing bridge, gathering at the "stitch and bitch" club, and celebrating special events (especially Grey Cup). They laughed, cried and supported each other through the years. Hilda will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Cheryl (Ian) Richmond, Sharon (Lyle) Olsen and her grandchildren Daniel Carson, Nathan and Stephanie Olsen. She is also survived by her sisters, Irene Lowing of Belair, Manitoba and Dorothy Morris of Winnipeg; a sister-in-law, Kay O'Toole of Winnipeg and several nieces and nephews. Hilda was predeceased by her loving husband of fifty-five years, Bob Fraser. In honouring Hilda's wishes there will not be a formal Service. Hilda will be interred with her beloved husband Bob in the Field of Honour in Queen's Park Cemetery. The family would like to invite friends to join us for a time of celebration on Sunday, August 23, 2009 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Hilda's home.
