DESCHAMPS, Real Peacefully at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer on Wednesday, July 22, 2009. Real Deschamps of Glen Nevis; age seventy-seven years. Beloved husband of Bertha Deschamps (nee Mullen). Predeceased by four brothers Albert, Gerald, Ovila and Jean-Guy Deschamps, and by three sisters Cecile Mansfield, Blanche Bougie, and Eva Jubin. Dear son of the late Albert Deschamps and the late Lucie Durocher. Also survived by two nieces and many nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Friday, July 24, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan's Cathedral, Alexandria on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Margaret of Scotland Parish Cemetery, Glen Nevis. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. As a memorial to Real, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
