SHORTT, Douglas - After a brief battle with cancer, on Monday, August 17th, 2009 at Belleville General Hospital, W. Douglas “Doug” Shortt, of Belleville, formerly of the County, at the age of 62. Loved father of Michael of Sarnia and his mother Lynda of Ancaster. Dear brother of June MacDermaid of Northport, Ron and his wife Beverly of Picton, Ken of Calgary, Frank and his wife Linda of Oshawa , Mack and his partner Marilyn of Picton and the late Mary. Missed by his nieces and nephews. An informal gathering of Doug's family & friends will take place at THE WHATTAM FUNERAL HOME, 33 Main Street, Picton, ON. On Friday, August 21st from 2 till 3 P.M. Reception to follow. Cremation.
