PLAW, Catherine (nee Shavick) On Wednesday, September 2, 2009, after a courageous battle. Beloved wife of Gilbert Plaw. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Avery Plaw and Jane Danek, Sara Plaw and Steven Ibbott, Joshua Plaw and Nancy Lis. Loving "Grammy" of Eda Ibbott and Benjamin Plaw. Adored daughter of Barbara and the late Lenard Shavick. Dear sister and sister-in-law of James Shavick and Joy McPhail, Margaret Shavick and Stephen Wallace, and sister-in-law of Danya and the late Richard Pelzman, Anita and Ray Lapof. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to Drs. Arthur Rosenberg, Martin Gyger, Sarit Assouline and to Monica and the staff of the Oncology Department at the Jewish General Hospital for their care and devotion. Funeral service took place on Friday, September 4.
