William Leslie OVERING

OVERING, William (Bill) Leslie 1952-2009 Bill died peacefully on October 5th, 2009, at the Vancouver General Hospital, one week after falling ill in Whistler, B.C. Beloved first- born of Reginald and Beverley Overing of Lorraine, Quebec. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Linda (Ivan), Steven (Debbie), Gordon (Nathalie), John (Caryl), Julie (Mario) who, with his parents, were all present at his bedside in Vancouver; his Grandmother Ivy Overing; his beloved companion Anastasia Nicholas and her three children Nina, Patrick and Bianca Duval, who loved him as a father; his aunts and uncles Peter Overing, Lynne Vaillancourt, Rosemary Snelgrove, Frank Gray, Mike Gray and Step-Grandmother Katherine Gray; and by nieces and nephews Matthew, Erin, Andrea and Michael Silver, Tyler Overing, Alexandra and Anthony Overing, Andrew, Chelsea and Liam Overing, Mackenzie and Maxwell Mondo. The family takes great comfort in the knowledge that Bill's eyes will be helping eight other people to see, thanks to the B.C. Eye Bank. Cremation has taken place in Vancouver. A Celebration of Life will take place this week with his many friends in Whistler, B.C. Skiing was a great part of Bill's life, so the family will all return to Whistler in the spring, where we will return his remains to his favourite mountain.
