MILLER, Betty June (Nee: Ruggles) - Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, after a lengthy battle with Cancer and Alzheimer's, in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of the late Bill Miller. Loving mother of Todd (Cathy), and Mike. Beloved Grandmother of Dylan Middleton, Cole, Riley and Griffin Miller, and Brodie Miller. Daughter of the late Albert and Vin Ruggles. Dear sister of Pat Fitzgerald (Jim Coombes) and fondly remembered by nieces Linda Stenson (Art), Kelly Carter (Dave), and Albert Fitzgerald (Donna), and their families. Betty was formerly employed a Welch's Food Mart and at Trent University, Food Service Staff. A special thank-you to Dr.'s Ingram and Lunn, as well as all the nurses and Personal Support Workers of the Long Term Care Unit B2 at P.R.H.C. for their compassion and attentiveness throughout the last year. As per Betty's wishes, cremation has taken place, with no visitation or services to be held. In memory of Betty, donations to the Cancer Society or Humane Society of your choice would be greatly appreciated, as Betty was an avid animal lover.
