Ellen Kathleen (Kay) Carpenter September 04, 1907 - September 15, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Evergreen Funeral Home Carpenter, Ellen Kathleen (Kay) September 4, 1907 – September 15, 2004 On September 15, 2004 Mrs. Ellen Kathleen (Kay) Carpenter, of Edmonton, passed away at the age of 97 years. Kay is survived by her children, Gloria (Dick) Middlebrough, of Barrhead, Ken Carpenter of Grimshaw, Doreen (Ashley) Thomas, of Edmonton, Brenda (Leslie) Williams of Edmonton; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and sister-in-law Dorine James. She was predeceased by her husband Tom in 1971, sister Ivy James in 1974, brother Cecil James in 1992 and infant great-grandsons Jordan and Ethan. A Celebration of Kay’s life will take place Monday, September 20, 2004 at 1:30 pm at St. Matthias Anglican Church 6210-188 St., Edmonton, Reverend Neil Gordon officiating. A private graveside service has been held. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Matthias Building Fund.
