WILLIAMS, Harry On October 25, 2009 Mr. Harry Williams of Edmonton passed away at 80 years of age. Harry is lovingly remembered by his daughter Jane (Stephen) Matthews and their children Ian, Daniel and Jennifer, his son Jeffrey, and beloved companion Norma Andrew and her three children and grandchildren, as well as many good friends. Harry is predeceased by his mother Opal Love, stepfather Edward Love, brother Teddy and sister Dorothy Wackerhauser. Harry grew up in Edmonton and worked for 60 years in the insurance industry. He was very active in the community and a few of his contributions include president of the Braemar Club he also became one of the founding directors of the Royal Glenora Club. He was Past President and Treasurer of the Edmonton YMCA and a past director and Hospital Chairman of the Edmonton Shrine Club. A Celebration of Harry's Life will be held on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, south of Wye Road on Range Road 232, Sherwood Park. His final resting place will be at Westlawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital or to the Ardrossan United Church.
