DIMOFF, Louie (Elia) June 2, 1944 - April 27, 2004 My Dearest Louie This first year without you has gone in an instant and yet, it has been painfully long in many ways. My heart is heavy. I am lonely and sad most of the time. Our home feels empty without you. The images of your final hours are still too fresh in my mind and no matter how hard I try, I can't get them out of my head. Your life ended much too soon. Your suffering seemed endless, but I now know just how brief and truly precious life really is. We must treasure every day. Thank God for our children and grandchildren. I don't know where I would be now without them. Please watch over them and keep them safe. Give my love to Marion and Auntie Ruth, Barry, Randy and Johnny, and all our loved ones with you now. With unending love, from my aching heart, Susan. P.S. Let us all try to remember Louie with a smile today - I know he would like that. S.D. A year ago today, my life changed forever. Watching my Daddy take his very last breath was terrifying, yet I am glad to have witnessed it. Today, I am a much sadder person and I feel quite cheated out of another 34 years with him. Each and every day he was here I felt loved by him. And to lose a parent's love, a father's love, is quite devastating. Apart from being a wonderful father he was a great man. And to those who knew him, please always remember that part of him. Continue to have love in your hearts for him, because wherever he is now, he is loving us all the way he used to when he was well. I miss you Daddy, so very much, and my heart aches for you to be here with us again. I love you today. I'll love you always. Thank-you for giving me a fabulous life. --Your daughter Stacey, son-in-law Ben and grandchildren Simon, Owen and LilyIts been a long hard year Dad, and they were right - it hasn't gotten any easier, only harder. The boys talk of you often and remember you as I do, an awesome father and a caring Dedo that would do anything for them just as you did for me. I will never stop telling them about you Dad and teach them the things you taught me about life and if they turn out half as great as you, then I think we have done our job. I will never forget you Dad, how can I, I am you. Karen misses you terribly. --Love Steph, Karen, Clay and Matty Published in the Windsor Star on 4/27/2005
